If asked three months ago what he'd do if he was stuck on a space station full of daleks, he'd have said he'd find the nearest broom closet and hide out until they'd gone.

He wasn't afraid, but fearlessness wasn't the same as courage. It took courage to stand up and fight, and even more to fight a losing battle.

Stood face to face with the dalek, out of ammunition, knowing that he was the last thing standing between it and the Doctor, he didn't hesitate. His life was worth far less than those of the millions on Earth below him.
