Perhaps it was the wine, but Jon suspected it was more the company, that had him feeling jollier than he had for months. Arya's visits to Castle Black were always a welcome treat. They'd sit for hours in his solar, regaling one another of tales from their childhood and all the adventures they had after leaving Winterfell.

'Chasing cats?' he cried, nearly spilling his wine. 'What on earth does that have to do with learning to fight?'

She huffed at his mockery. She'd always be his little sister, the mouse.

She grinned cheekily. 'Draw your sword and you'll find out.'
