Owen stirred the spoon around in the cup, staring blankly into swirling vortex he was creating. Ianto looked down at the benchtop.

'Your hand is caught in the drawer,' he said, indicating with his eyes.

'Bollocks,' Owen muttered, pulling it out and checking it over. He hadn't even felt it being crushed. He kicked the cupboard in frustration.

'This being half dead thing really sucks.'

'It could be worse,' Ianto said.

Owen glared at him, furious. 'So tell me how the fuck could it be worse?'

Ianto shrugged. 'You could be all the way dead. Then who'd ruin the coffee?'

I love the way Ianto doesn't treat Owen with kid gloves, just tells it as it is.
