'Fruit!' Ianto exclaimed as the bottom fell out of the box he was carrying, spilling its contents across the floor.

'Fruit! Fruit! Fruit!' he yelled again.

'What's fruit?' Jack asked, hearing the commotion and coming to see what disaster had befallen.

'Nothing,' Ianto muttered, already bending down to pick up the mess. 'It's nothing.'

'You said something about fruit?' Jack looked around. 'I don't see any.'

'No,' Ianto huffed, 'I was just trying to replace a certain word in my vocabulary. It gets far too much use. I'm training myself out of bad habits.'

'Oh, I see.' Jack knelt down next to him, pretending to help. Instead he moved in close leaning his lips up against Ianto's ear. He could feel the warmth of Jack's breath on it.

'I appreciate you making an effort,' Jack said, 'but it is going to make some things a little difficult.'

'Don't know what you mean,' Ianto said, trying to stay focused on the clutter in front of him.

'I think you do,' Jack purred.

Fruit, Ianto thought, fruit, fruit, fruit, as Jack continued to tease his earlobe. Well, maybe there was still one time and place where using that word would be okay.
