Ianto stared up tiredly at Jack as he pulled the thermometer from his mouth.

'Fever is going down, so that's a relief,' Jack said, before pulling up the bed covers.

'Now, you promise to stay here and rest?'

There was no response, but Jack took that for the affirmative.

'And you won't try and do work from home? I'm taking your laptop with me, by the way.'

Ianto closed his eyes, throat too sore for talking, let alone arguing.

'And you won't get out of bed except to use the bathroom? No? Good. I'll come back with some soup later.'

I know how he feels. I've been the same for the past week and a half, only I wish I had myself a Jack to look after me.

It was. It seemed very apropos, although the white line fever idea was the first one I came up with. Ironic.
Only just started feeling a bit human yesterday so have been trying to get back into writing after two weeks off. Fortunately challenges and deadlines have been thin on the ground. I had a great idea for the amnesty at fan-flashworks, but without the proper time and energy to dedicate to it, I've shelved the idea until later.
Methinks challenge week is this week so I'll just try and write what I can whilst I continue to slowly recover.

At least you can write while relaxing. Sucks to go down with something like that. The paucity of challenges at least gave you a bit of a break. You can write your idea for the next amnesty instead.
