Summary: Owen wishes he were in with a shot with Tosh. A double drabble.

Owen wrung his hands awkwardly as he watched Ianto diligently working away. He looked so calm and in control. They all did around here. Everyone was happy and confident and at ease with their lives. Everyone except him.

'I'll have to charge you admission if you keep staring,' Ianto said, looking up.

'Sorry,' Owen apologised. 'I didn't mean to disturb you.'

'But you have a question,' Ianto said, reading him like a book. Owen was so sweet. He really needed to be more assertive.

'Not a question, it's just... um,' he rubbed his neck in that nervous way he always did. 'D'you think it's a good idea... Torchwood colleagues dating each other?' He winced as the words came out.

Ianto raised an eyebrow. 'You don't think Tosh and Adam should be together?' he said, reading between the lines. It helped that Owen's gaze had shifted furtively to Tosh's desk, where Adam was leant over, hand on the small of her back, their faces so close they were almost kissing

'It's not that ... just... worried that they might not be... you know.... objective.'

'They're professionals, Owen.'

'You're right,' he said, quickly disappearing.

Poor Owen, Ianto thought. Love really was blind.

Oooh, nice choice for the prompt! There's not much that looks at Owen during that episode. Very neatly done!
