'Jaaaaaacccckkkk!!'

Jack cringed as he heard the thunderous voice rang across the hub. There was no mistaking the angry Welsh undertones in that invocation. He was in big trouble now.

He didn't have to wait to come out of hiding from his office; Ianto was already marching angrily towards his door.

'You've got a lot of explaining to do!' he said, the only thing more furious than his voice being that expression on his face.

'Ianto, I swear I can explain.'

'Oh, I've no doubt you can,' Ianto began. 'That doesn't mean I'm going to forgive you for this.'

'Where's your sense of Christmas spirit?' Jack asked, knowing it was the wrong thing to say the second the words were out his mouth.

'Jack, it's snowing in the hub! Not just snowing, there's actual whole piles of snow everywhere. I can't even find my desk for the snow drift which is now residing there. Just wait until Tosh gets in. You think I'm mad, well it's nothing compared to what happens when she gets here. Do you have any idea what damage snow does to computers?'

'It was just meant to be a little sprinkling,' Jack said, unable to figure out how the machine had gone so haywire, snow still falling invisibly from somewhere up near the roof. 'I just wanted a little bit of Christmas cheer.'

'Do I look cheery to you?'

'You got a bit of...' Jack trailed off, pointing at where the snowflakes had come to rest in Ianto's hair. He didn't dare reach out any further.

'Just wait until it melts,' Ianto continued ranting. 'Then who's going to be the one that has to mop up all the mess, hmm?'

'Can I just say that I didn't think it would snow actual snow,' Jack said, risking interrupting him.

'Oh, and what did you think would happen? Soapflakes? Styrofoam? Asbestos? It's a fabricator, Jack. It makes what you want it to make. You tell it you want snow until New Year, and that's what you get!'

Jack cringed again. Why did these things always happen to him? He thought he'd surprise the team when they got in. It had looked so pretty at first, watching the snow gently falling down over the hub, dusting over the Christmas decorations already adorning the hub. Snow was just one of those magical things that Jack couldn't separate from Christmas. The two were just perfect together. Kind of like how he and Ianto had been, about five minutes before Ianto had uncovered this latest surprise.

'Please just help me stop it?' Jack beseeched him. 'I promise to clean up everything; every last snowflake.'

'As if there was any alternative,' Ianto replied.

'I meant well, I swear.'

Ianto sighed, spotting several snowflakes on his jacket shoulder, brushing them off in an annoyed away. 'Don't you always? Alright, let's fix this mess you've made.'

'See, that's the Christmas spirit I was talking about.'

'Don't push it,' Ianto said, giving him another warning glare.

I think he's going to learn that the hard way - the painfully Ianto Jones way, in fact. *pats Jack sympathetically*
