You're right, I probably would have died. Although.... as I was adding comments here after the show, I went to the bathrom before leaving and when I came back the second level was empty, and then a whole swathe of people were being lead past me, and I knew they had to be the VIPs. I was so tempted to try and just sneak into the back of the pack (thinking to myself, "as if they'd turn you away once you got there...")! But hey, I'm a wuss and a rule follower.
I felt bad for Scott because after promising he wouldn't, he dragged the poor boy on stage to sing Rhinestone Cowboy, pretty much all on his own except for the choruses. A few sour notes towards the end, but bless him, he's obviously picked up a few pointers, and not a bad effort.
