Jack thanked Ianto as he set down the fresh mug of coffee on the desk.

'Anything else?' Ianto asked.

'Nope, just that I love you,' Jack replied.

Ianto gave a small eye roll and left.

At lunch Jack helped him clear up the plates and cups left by the team.

'Since when do you help?' Ianto asked.

'Because I love you.'

Later when he was elbow deep in files down in the archives, it was Jack's footsteps he heard approaching his desk.

'What do you need?'

'Just to see you and tell you I love you.'

'Okay Jack,' Ianto said. 'What's going on? You've been dopey and romantic all day and it's not even Valentine's. If you've done something wrong, just tell me so that I can be angry with you and move on with my day.'

Jack came closer and grabbed Ianto by the waist. 'So, I'm not allowed to tell you I love you?'

'Not when I think you've got ulterior motives.'

'My only motive is that I almost lost you once before and I didn't say it then. So now I'm gonna make up for it by making sure I tell you a hundred times a day.'

Oh, this is so going to drive Ianto crazy by the end of the week.

Sweet and romantic, but I don't think it'll last. Ianto's already about to strangle Jack. Once a day will do.
