Notes: The hub is more than the sum of its constituent parts.

Jack loved the hub. He loved the gritty Victorian brickwork, the way water seeped through it, creating flourishes of green and brown. Juxtaposed against that was the shining edifice of the water tower, silver and modern, reaching towards the stars. It was the old and the new all working together to create something that was as immortal as he was.

But the thing he loved most about the hub was the people that occupied it. Bricks and mortar, stone and steel held the place over their heads, but its people were the most valuable thing that kept it all together.
