Ianto heard the scream before the thud. Whilst it was probably nothing serious, he went to check on Jack regardless.

'What now?' he asked, watching Jack push his shoe across the floor with a sock covered foot.

'Intruder,' Jack said, pointing.

Ianto picked up the boot, expecting a spider. Instead he found Colin. He sighed. 'All that fuss for this?'

'Well, you don't expect to find a spider mouse sleeping inside your shoe.'

'Probably more of a shock for him once he got a whiff inside your shoe. You'd better make sure he's only sleeping and not completely passed out!'
