Summary: Lisa has a way of making Ianto fumble over his words. A double drabble.

'Hi,' Lisa said, sliding a tray of food onto to the table opposite Ianto.

They'd been having lunch together like this on and off for a few weeks now. Ever since he'd bumped into her in the lift, carrying more files than she thought was humanly possible, she noticed him in the cafeteria, basically sitting alone. He seemed sweet so she'd joined him and tried to be friendly.

Ianto's eyes flicked up for just a split second before dropping back down to inspect the sandwich in front of him. 'Hi,' he replied.

Lisa squeezed two sachets of sauce onto her chips. 'I didn't see you at that all staff briefing this morning.'

'I was there.'

'What did you think of it?'

'Interesting.'

One of these days she was going to get more than two words out of him. He wasn't unfriendly, but she could tell he was shy and needed to be pushed. The more time she spent with him, the more she found him endlessly endearing.

'You wanna come for a drink after work?' she asked.

'Uh, I can't. Got, um, socks to fold.'

She raised her eyebrows at him. 'Socks?'

'Laundry,' he quickly corrected. 'Loads. Maybe another time.'

Looks like Lisa has her work cut out for her. Ianto is worth the effort though.
