Jack stood there and contemplated the scene in front of him, the sound of their combined gunfire finally ceasing its reverberations around the enclosed space. On the ground were the dead remains of the cyber woman, the bloodied corpse of the girl whose body she'd stolen, and the man who'd nearly brought them all undone, all of them broken. They couldn't be fixed. His only option was to stop them.

Jack didn't regret his actions or feel sorry for the lives he'd ended. All he could think about was how many more might have died if they hadn't stopped her.
