'Come on, Jack, get a wriggle on,' Ianto called out, waiting by the doorway. It'd be past lunchtime by the time the reached their destination at the rate Jack was moving. Usually it was the other way around, Jack waiting impatiently whilst Ianto fussed.

'I'm here,' Jack said, bounding down the hall.

'Where's your hat?'

'What hat?'

'It's snowing out there, Jack. You'll freeze without a beanie.' Ianto already has his pulled down over his ears.

'I'm fine,' he insisted.

'You're not fine. Now go get one or we're not leaving.'

Jack looked utterly aghast. 'But I'll get hat hair!'

Ianto is just pre-empting the fact that half an hour from now he'll be complaining he's got cold ears and expect Ianto to do something about it.
In fairness to Jack though, it's hard to be dashing in a beanie. :)
