Notes: Suzie is a hard woman to impess.

'It's a perception filter,' Jack explained, standing by the glistening water tower with Suzie, looking just as casual as he always did.

'A what?' she said. Rift in time and space, got it; aliens, sure that was believable too, but what was he on about, she wondered.

He sidestepped onto the flagstone right in front of the silver tower, disappearing in an instant, before stepping back, reappearing just as quickly, smiling.

'A trick of the light and nothing more,' she said. 'Convenient if you don't like climbing stairs, I  suppose.'

He huffed and folded his arms. 'Does anything impress you?'
