Notes: Gwen's having a hard time believing her own eyes. A double drabble.

Gwen blinked, looking up towards the top of the hub roof. She was sure if she watched long enough she could prove whether her eyes were playing tricks on her.

'See anything you like?' Jack asked coming up to stand beside her, staring skyward.

'I think maybe I'm not entirely over this flu thing,' she confessed. 'I could have sworn I imagined seeing a tiny version of Myfanwy up there.'

'You're not seeing things, if that's what's worrying you,' Jack said, chuckling. 'You probably just spotted Hywel.'

'Hywel?' she asked.

'Newest member of the family,' Jack replied.

'But... She can't just get pregnant, can she?' She'd only been off sick a few days.

'It's not a miracle birth. Hywel came to us through other means.'

'Other means?' she queried.

'Ministry of Defence to be precise,' Jack said, shoving his hands deep in his pockets.

'And how did we find out about that?'

'Uh...' He couldn't really admit the real story. Gwen would be so mad at both him and Ianto. 'Tip off from a whistle-blower,' he lied. 'Plan on going back there to give the place a proper going over if you're feeling up to it.'

'I'm ready for anything.'

Yay! Looks like Hywel is settling in well and getting pretty good at the whole flying thing now! I'm sure the good food he's getting is helping him build his strength.

And it's a good thing he can't talk and spill the beans on how he really came to end up at Torchwood. Gwen would never let the pair of them out of her sight ever again!
