'This is nice, isn't it?' Jack said, staring around as everyone huddled together in the park. The smell of Rhys cooking sausages on the barbecue was making his mouth water.

'Half the city has turned out with us, all sharing the simple joy of what really matters, just being together. We should do this more often. Team barbecues.'

'Yeah,' Owen grumbled, adding sauce to his bread as Rhys began doling out the food. 'Let's bugger up the entire city's supply of electricity and gas more often. After tonight there won't be a gas cylinder left in Cardiff that isn't empty.'
