Notes: Jack uncovers something unusual in the depths of the hub.

When Jack was left in charge of Torchwood after New Year's Eve, he didn't quite know where to begin. He spent hours just wandering the halls, trying to figure out what to do and whether he really should stick around. He'd already found the two rift victims, locked down in the cells. It was appalling in this day and age. He soon rectified that.

Then one day, as he wandered deeper down, he came a cross a room he didn't remember ever seeing.

'Woah,' he said, opening the door, seeing the tanks lining every wall. 'That's a lot of insects.'
