Notes: Jack and Ianto are alone in their enjoyment of insects.

They certainly weren't cute and cuddly, but Ianto slowly grew attached to Torchwood's insect collection.

Some were burrowers, others liked to climb around, fly around, or just hang out on  branches in their tanks. Fortunately none resembled spiders, else Jack would never have taken on the task. He'd have nuked the whole lot.

They were fascinating in their own way, but no one else could be convinced. They thought it was creepy. It seemed he and Jack were alone in their interest. They'd never be any use in arming themselves for the twenty-first century, but everyone had to have hobbies.

Insects are a nice hobby to have, as long as nothing spidery is included.

Definitely no spiders! Just a shame that their collection didn't include any butterflies. I can picture Ianto as an excellent lepidopterist.
