Notes: Ianto will get what he wants, one way or another. A double drabble.

'I don't have time for this shit,' Owen complained, staring incredulously at the sheaf of papers attached to the clipboard. He didn't need more paperwork in his life.

'It's an inventory management system,' Ianto explained. 'You tell me how much stuff you've got, and average rates and usage, then I can extrapolate what to order and how often. That way you don't have to annoy me every time you want something.'

'I like the old system better,' Owen said. 'Where I just tell you when I've run out. Annoying you is just a bonus.'

'Fine,' Ianto said, taking back the clipboard.

The next day Owen opened his storage cupboards to find them empty.  

'Oi! Where's all my stuff?' he yelled out, knowing Ianto would be somewhere nearby.

Ianto stood and leaned over the railing. 'You must have used it all, he replied. Or someone else did.'

'How am I supposed to work with no equipment or supplies?'

'Well, if you'd just used my new system, you wouldn't have run out.'

'I didn't! You've gone and nicked everything, haven't you?'

Ianto shrugged innocently. 'Maybe the rift took it.' He held out the clipboard and Owen snatched it angrily.

'This is blackmail.'

Is there a ticky-box on that new inventory form for a new doctor by any chance? One with manners and civility, good time management, and a good bedside manner even when he/she is not at a bedside?

Aw, come on. We love Owen. It's all about knowing how to handle him, and no one knows how to do that better than Ianto. ;)
