Rhys groaned. 'What the hell time do you call this?' he said, cracking open a bleary eye to look at the clock. 'We only went to bed two hours ago. More to the point, you only got home two hours ago.'

'That's Torchwood, Rhys,' Gwen said, already sitting on the edge of the bed, pulling on her sneakers.

Rhys groaned again and pulled the duvet over his head.

'Come on, Rhys,' Gwen said. 'Up you get. Jack will be here in five minutes.'

'What? Is he expecting tea and biscuits when he does?'

'No, but he does need a lorry.'
