Challenge 523 - In a jam

Notes: Jack has his reservations about Ianto's plans to capture their alien. A double drabble.

'This guy is becoming a real pain in the arse,' Jack complained, throwing the SUV into another helter-skelter turn as they chased the car containing their alien quarry.

'Try and come around him,' Ianto suggested. 'Force him to take the exit for the motorway.'

'The motorway? Are you insane?' At least while they were pursuing it around the local streets they had a chance of apprehending it. Out on the motorway though it could speed away and they'd never catch it.

'Trust me,' Ianto insisted. 'Force it to make the turn.'

Jack shook his head. 'If you say so,' he replied, accelerating and coming up behind the car, weaving right and making the turn off look like the best chance of escape. The creature took it, veering away as the SUV zoomed past, staying on the arterial road.

'Great,' Jack said. 'Now what? It'll be halfway to Swansea and we've missed the turn off.'

'Turn around and follow him,' Ianto instructed.

'I thought that's what we were doing before,' Jack said, sounding annoyed.

'We'll catch him,' Ianto promised. 'There's been a broken down B double on the motorway all afternoon causing absolute chaos. They'll be stuck in traffic for hours.'
