Title: Argument without end

Notes: A row has left Jack suffering the consequences. A double drabble.

Jack stared vacantly at the spot where his coffee mug should be. Another row with Ianto last night had left him without company in bed, and now without the one thing that got him going in the morning.

He was frustrated with himself as much as anything. He knew Ianto meant well, but he really needed to stop arguing about Flat Holm and what they should tell the others.

This was the problem with dating coworkers. He couldn't tell if they were arguing as a couple or as boss and employee. Jack suspected it was the former. An employee would do what their boss told them.

Having a row as a couple was altogether different. In that their opinions were equal. Ianto could rant and yell all he liked and there wasn't a thing Jack could do. You couldn't fire someone for having an opinion, and even then, Ianto always walked away rather than openly defy Jack. No coffee was Ianto's little way of letting Jack know the argument wasn't over.

Jack sighed and picked up his report, attempting to read it for the third time. So long as he stuck to his guns, the argument would never be over.

Maybe he should just give in and accept that Ianto is right.

I think they both have their valid points, but Jack is the boss. Ultimately it's his call, rightly or wrongly.
