Notes: Jack is beginning to dislike Miracle Day in more ways than one.

Gwen turned to face Jack, telling him to stop tapping his boot against the crate. Rather than speak he just gave her a petulant look.

'First he's chuffed about being hungover and now he's sulking because he can't be in charge,' Gwen muttered, loud enough so Jack could hear.

'Oh, and you're okay with Rex being in charge?' he retorted.

She set the laptop aside. 'Things have changed, Jack. This isn't Torchwood anymore. Not how it used to be. We need him.'

Jack slumped back in the chair. They needed a lot of things, but Rex wasn't one of them.
