Summary: Tosh needs some dating advice. A double drabble.

'What's wrong?' Ianto asked, seeing Tosh looking glum.

'I tried asking Owen out.'

'He said no?'

'No, stupid me suggested going to the pub for a round of pool and drinks. Owen took that to mean the whole team.' She remembered how nice it had been when she and Tommy had done the same thing. She should've known better.

Ianto leant against the desk. 'I have a better idea.'

'Accept being a spinster for life?'

Ianto chuckled. 'No. I was thinking you should go for the direct approach. Say, "Owen, would you like to go on a date with me?" "Yes, Tosh. I'd absolutely love to".'

Tosh reached out and gave Ianto's hand a squeeze. 'That's very sweet of you but I don't think so.'

'Why not? Sometimes the direct approach works best.'

Tosh saw the intense way he looked back at her. She frowned before the realisation dawned on her. 'You didn't!'

'Didn't what?'

'Are you telling me you made the first move on Jack?'

He blushed slightly. 'Well... I don't know if I'd call it the first move. It was a little more complicated than that, but... sometimes you don't always see what's right in front of you.'

Owen does seem to have Tosh blindness, maybe the direst approach would work. At least she'd know once and for all if she's wasting her time wishing.

Absolutely. Just get it out of the way and if he's still not interested then she can at least move on. You never know though, the direct approach worked for Ianto!
