Challenge 538 - Higher ground

Notes: Tosh finds their alien's behaviour baffling.

Tosh cocked her head as she stepped out of the car. They didn't have to look hard to find their latest alien refugee, watching as the giant slug creature mowed an agonizingly slow path along the road.

'What's it doing?' she asked.

'Running away,' Jack replied about as nonchalantly as was possible.

'Wouldn't it have been easier to go down the road instead of up?' The street was one of the steepest in Cardiff, so Ianto told her.

'They always head for higher ground. It's just instinct.'

Well, at least she supposed they wouldn't have to run up the incline.

Poor slug creature. I applaud its valiant attempt at escape. Maybe if they put a crate at the top of the slope it'll go straight in.
