Notes: Jack doesn't think he's anybody's hero.

Jack let out a heavy sigh as he watched the city bustling below him from his lofty perch above it. Somehow it had become his job to keep it safe.

His team might look up to him as their hero, but he knew better. He was no hero, just a man who couldn't die, and who was trapped here for gods only knew how long. He might be long-lived and unafraid of death, but there was a difference between heroism and a lack of fear.

He only prayed that his false identity wouldn't be uncovered before he could escape it.

Jack is good at appearing to be a hero even though he doesn't feel like one. He's just doing the best he can.
