Summary: Jack loves weddings and all that they entail.

'Don't you just love weddings?' Jack said, coming over to watch Ianto as he brewed the first coffee of the morning. He loved this time of day, when it was just the two of them before everyone else arrived. The day still had so much promise and who knew what might happen. For now though it was enough just to have this one little moment of togetherness.

Ianto concentrated hard on getting the milk to froth just right, not too much air and not too watery. It was a skill.

'You didn't answer my question,' Jack said.

'Sorry, what question was that?'

'Weddings! Aren't they just great?'

'Someone's a bit excited about today,' Ianto mused. After all the craziness of last night, he was starting to worry that Gwen might not make it to her own hens party in time. Fortunately thought they'd managed to take down that shape-shifter, and with a quick bit of first aid from Owen, Gwen was out the door and on her way to celebrate her last night as an unmarried woman. Knowing the kinds of girls Gwen would keep as friends, they were bound to have a wild night.

'Ianto...' Jack crooned.

'What?'

Before he had a chance to get an answer out of Jack, he felt strong arms whip around his waist and tug him away from the coffee machine, spinning him and disorienting him. He grabbed Jack's shoulders hard in an effort to arrest his movements.

'Jack, what are you doing?'

'What does it look like?' he said, getting a better grip on Ianto. 'I'm practicing for later.'

'Practicing what? Being an arse?'

'Dancing, Ianto,' he said, trying to sway them both around the hub. 'It's called dancing.'

Ianto struggled against Jack's movements. He didn't do dancing, and he most certainly didn't get lead around the floor like a girl.

'You're not trying very hard,' Jack commented.

'You noticed, did you?'

'Just go with it for a minute,' Jack insisted. 'It's only us here right now.'

He heard Ianto give a little huff and then felt him concede ever so slightly to Jack's movements.

'Weddings,' Jack repeated. 'Such a beautiful declaration of love and devotion. The happy couple exchanging their vows to love and cherish one another forever. But the dancing, that's the best part. That moment when two people come together as one, holding each other close and the rest of the world just drops away and then there's only the two of them.' He pulled Ianto closer until he could feel Jack's breath ghosting against his ear.

'I'm sure it will be lovely,' Ianto said. 'They make a very nice couple.' It was nice to think that just for once, someone who worked for Torchwood might find a little bit of happiness.

'And then everyone else gets to join them on the dance floor and you get to steal the bride away from her man and it's totally okay,' Jack grinned.

'Trust you,' Ianto said. 'Just don't get too excited or you may test the considerable patience of the new husband.'

Jack scoffed. 'What, Rhys? He's a pushover.' Jack waggled his eyebrows. 'You never know, I might even ask him for a dance.'

'Only you,' Ianto said, trying to pull away from Jack's embrace before someone arrived to catch them out. It would most likely be Tosh in this early, but that didn't make it any less mortifying. She'd only think it was cute. 'Okay, that's enough,' he said, finally slipping out of Jack's grip. 'You and I have a lot of work to do before we need to get ready for the ceremony.'

Jack sighed. 'Such a spoilsport.'

'Yup. That's me.'

'Not long to go now,' Jack said, winding up his excitement another notch. 'Today is gonna be just perfect.'

'Hopefully,' Ianto replied, returning to the coffee machine to finish what he'd started.

Jack came over and wrapped his arms back around Ianto, pressing up along his back. 'Just promise me one thing?'

'What's that?'

'Save the last dance of the night for me?'

Ianto kept his silence. First, last and only.
