Title: Guilt ridden
Author: m_findlow
Characters: Ianto
Rating: PG
Challenge: 548 - Cross at tw100
Notes: Ianto's attempts to be benevolent have surprising consequences. A double drabble.
Ianto paused a split second before his shoe stepped into the puddle of milk on the floor.
'What on earth?' he muttered, spying the carton knocked over on the bench, spilling on the floor.
A snatch of sound caught his ears and he cast his eyes towards the tall kitchen cupboard. It seemed the culprit was still close by to the scene of the crime and had chosen the cupboard as their hiding spot. It might have worked had they not left it hanging slightly ajar so that he could hear them shuffling about inside.
'Come out now and confess your crimes and I promise I won't be cross,' he called out.
There was a brief pause as the offender considered their options, before the door squeaked open an inch. Ianto peered around the corner, expecting Jack, or maybe Owen, but saw nothing, until he looked down.
'Colin?'
The small spidermouse squeaked out a contrite sound and scurried over to the puddle of milk, beginning to lap furiously at it.
'Well, I suppose I can't be mad at you. You are trying to clean it up after all, which is more than I can say for most people around here.'
