'I've got to pick up that gift for my sister,' Ianto said, whizzing through the kitchen to grab his car keys. 'Promise me you'll behave?'

'Of course,' Jack said, still perched at the counter enjoying his coffee.

Ianto gave him the eye. 'I mean it, Jack. No peeking at the gifts under the tree. If I find so much as a piece of tape that even looks like it's been prised open with a knife...'

'I won't peek. Cross my heart and hope to die.'

Ianto rolled his eyes. 'You do realise how pointless a promise that is, don't you?'
