Author: m_findlow
Characters: Owen, Ianto

Challenge: 549 - Nature at tw100
Notes: The boy's trek out in the countryside is about to get worse. A double drabble.
Owen kicked out at the rock intending on tripping him up. Stupid countryside, he thought. He was tired and sweaty and sore. His backpack felt like it weighted five times more than it had at the beginning of the day and now he was faced with the prospect of camping out here overnight. The signal he and Ianto had been following had disappeared, but they couldn't turn around and go home until they'd gotten to the bottom of it. Alien signals didn't just go away; not permanently anyway.
He grumbled out sigh and came to a halt, dumping his pack on the ground. 'S'pose this is as good a place as any to make camp.' What he really wanted was to sit and give his feet a rest. If he took his boots off, he'd probably never get them back on, but who cared?
He cast a glance up at Ianto, standing there in silence, looking around. Annoyingly he didn't look tired or sweaty or sore. 'Cat got your tongue or something?'
'I need to pee. Have done for ages.'
'So go,' Owen replied.
'Where?'
'Anywhere! Use nature's facilities.'
Ianto grimaced. 'But...'
'Who are you worried about seeing you? Aliens?'
