Jack studied his wrist strap, finally locking onto the signal they'd been tracking. He looked around the narrow city street, assessing their location. 'It's in there,' he said, pointing at the fetid smelling dumpster. 'You'll have to go in and dig it out.'

'Why me?' Owen complained. 'There's two of us here.'

'Because I'm the boss,' Jack replied.

Owen growled under his breath. 'You know, I'm liking this job less and less the longer I'm here. This wasn't how you sold it to me.'

'If I'd said you'd spend half your time trawling through rubbish, you'd never have said yes.'

I can see Jack only telling potential recruits the positive points of the job...

Wouldn't you? So, there'll be a lot of late nights and world ending, dangerous aliens that live in the sewers and like to tear your face off, and every other day you're likely to get covered in alien excrement of some kind. But the danger pay is awesome and you get to shag the boss if that's your thing. :)
