Summary: Jack has a thing for Ianto's wardrobe choices.

Jack almost squeals with delight when he sees Ianto reach into the wardrobe and pull out that pink shirt, setting it carefully down on the bed along with his trousers and suit jacket. Gods but Jack loves that shirt, and even more so when it's being worn by the sexiest man on the planet - after himself, of course.

He waits until Ianto steps out of the room and off to have his shower before breaking into a smile and stepping over to finger the pale pink material. What is it about this shirt, he wonders, that sends his brain into lust filled overdrive? It's certainly not the most raunchy coloured thing Ianto owns, but it makes Jack go weak at the knees just thinking about it.

Perhaps it's because it was the shirt Ianto was wearing the day he came back from his travels with the Doctor. He'd expected it to be fun, and it had turned out to be anything but. By the time the TARDIS had landed in Cardiff, he couldn't wait to get out and meet up with his old team again. He'd missed them so much, and none more so than the man whom he'd kissed and then left without any explanation. Discovering he'd been away over four months in his own timeline was a shock. He expected them to be peeved that he'd up and left, but he'd only planned on being gone an hour or two. They must have assumed he'd abandoned them.

Despite the obvious tension at the end of that first day back, it hadn't taken long at all to break down whatever defensive walls Ianto had set up against him in the time since he'd been gone. Jack wanted to pick up right where they'd left off, assuming that was still okay. Having Ianto take him back was better than anything, and that night had been spent showing Ianto just how much he'd been missed.

As he'd gently slipped the pink fabric from Ianto's shoulders, kissing them tenderly in turn, wanting to make that night last forever, he'd found the colour curious. Ianto had never worn colours before. His wardrobe consisted solely of blues, greys, charcoal and white. At least it had. Jack should know; he'd memorised every combination every single morning Ianto came in to work. The closest he could recall of any sort of colour might be the odd stripe on a tie, gold or perhaps a deep burgundy. It certainly hadn't extended to other parts of his attire.

Something had changed whilst he'd been away, Jack knew that much. Ianto had evolved somehow, grown into his own skin. He was more assured and confident and this new wardrobe seemed to reflect the personal growth he'd undergone in Jack's absence. Perhaps he'd been trying to forge a path forward without Jack, or perhaps he'd just given up trying to hide who he really was on the inside. Whatever the reason, it showed in his cadence, even without the bolder choice of colours, though red was definitely a colour that suited him down to the ground.

Jack couldn't help but wonder if this morning's choice was intentional on his part. It was a big day, after all - Gwen's wedding. Had he chosen it as a reminder, or was Jack reading into things too much? Whatever the reason, Jack knew that he'd be unable to tear his eyes off the man, even if it was Gwen's big day. He grabbed out a dark blue shirt and matching vest, disregarding a whole swathe of traditional pale blue shirts. Two lots of pastel colours would clash and he didn't want anything to separate them today. Plus he knew how much Ianto loved that dark blue shirt, even if he'd never admit it.

'Is there anything wrong?' Ianto asked, standing in the doorway wrapped in a towel, watching as Jack continued to stare down at the clothes on the bed.

'No. Nothing.' Everything was just perfect, actually. He couldn't wait to wrap his arms up in that sexy pink shirt and spin it around the dance floor later tonight.

'Fine,' Ianto said, giving him a curious look. 'But try closing your mouth before all the drool escapes.'
