'Cadet Harkness-Jones!' came the barked command. 'Do you have your firearm?'

'Stun gun fully charged and ready, sir!'

'Do you have your comm's unit?'

'Transmitting and receiving loud and clear, sir!'

'Most importantly, do you have your Torchwood operations clearance?'

'Right here,' Sian replied, thrusting out the piece of paper. 'Director Jones gave it the official seal of approval this morning, sir!'

Jack studied the paper carefully, seeing his husband's neat signature at the bottom and sighing.  

'One more thing, Cadet.'

'Yes, sir?'  

'Be careful out there, sweetie.'

She leaned across and pecked him on the cheek. 'I will, Dad.'
