Notes: Gwen can't leave the boys alone, even for a single night. A double drabble.

'Rhys, what on earth?' Gwen cried as she swung open the door of their apartment, tired from a night on duty. The place was an absolute disaster zone. There were bits of stuffing littering the floor, the fabric of the sofa and the cushions torn, and as for the state of the kitchen... That was just unspeakable.

'It wasn't me, Gwen,' Rhys replied, marigolds up to his elbows and a bin liner in hand.

'Oh?' she replied, arms folded angrily. 'Was it Daf, then? Or maybe you'd like to blame Banana Boat? I know you said they were coming round last night.'

'It was that bloody alien pet of yours! The one you said wouldn't be any trouble whatsoever.'

'It's the size of a gerbil, Rhys. It couldn't possibly have done all this.'

'Oh, yeah? Down the road for a pint for an hour we were,' he said, 'and then I come home to this? You should've seen it before I started cleaning up. All night I've been at it. Banana thought we'd been burgled.'

'Where is it now? God, don't tell me it escaped.'

'I locked it in the loo. Drown itself if it knows what's good for it.'
