Notes: Jack comes close to a fatal error. A double drabble.

Owen frowned as he spied Jack down in the lab. He was surrounded by large glass flasks and the medical cabinet was hanging open, clearly up to something. 'What are you doing in my lab?' he asked, descending the stairs.

'Tosh and Ianto are dealing with a case out in Barry that ended up a lot bigger than they anticipated. They need a batch of soluble retcon bigger than what we currently have in stores to deal with that fallout. Just mixing up a batch to head out there so we can get to people before they start going around telling their neighbours there's a forty foot anaconda lurking the streets.'

'Not that one, you idiot!' Owen cried out, quickly snatching the vial from Jack's hand.

'What?'

'That's hyrdoethyl sulfate. You want hyrdoethyl manganate.'

'What's the difference?'

'This one is a used to strip flesh from bones. Unless you're planning on killing all the witnesses by melting their insides and half their faces.'

Jack narrowed his eyes. 'You know, you should probably label these better. It looked like the right one to me and I've made loads of retcon.'

'Or maybe you should just leave the science experiments to me.'
