Challenge: 564 - Slip at tw100
Notes: Owen has to deal with a slippery customer. A double drabble.
Owen came to stand in front of the cell door, watching its occupant. The alien creature looked a bit like a seal, and had a small inflatable pool inside the cell, along with the usual bucket for food and a blanket. Next to the pool was one of those yellow cleaning signs that read "slippery when wet". 'Yeah, thanks for the obvious, Teaboy,' Owen muttered.
He opened the door and stepped inside. 'Alright. Time for your medical assessment.'
The alien barked at him and jumped in the pool, splashing about.
'I don't have time for games,' Owen grumbled. He reached in, intending on grabbing the creature by the scruff. No sooner did he think he had a hold on it then it rolled over and made him lose his balance, tumbling into the pool. It bounced out and barked at him, like it was laughing.
'Owen!' came Jack's sharp voice. 'Stop mucking around. You can play with it later. I want it assessed before we arrange to transport it home.'
'I was trying. The bloody thing is made of grease or something. I lost my grip on it.'
'Well, duh. Why do you think Ianto put the sign in there?'
