Summary: Gwen realises that Emma has a lot to learn to survive in the twenty first century. A double drabble.
Gwen was fuming as the three of them clambered into the taxi, fighting off four other girls who also wanted the same vehicle. They could bloody well wait, she thought, pushing Emma in and slamming the door shut.
So much for their nice night out. What had she been thinking? All she wanted was for Emma to get out from under John's thumb and go out and enjoy herself like a girl her age should be doing. A bit of dancing, a drink or two, mingling with other people her own age. Gwen had been looking forward to a fun night as well. When was the last time she and Rhys had gone clubbing?
Only she'd forgotten that Emma was a girl from a different generation. If a boy had her up against the wall, he wasn't going to be polite about it and wait until they'd had a few dates. Guys took what the could when they could, and they didn't always worry about a little thing like consent.
Emma was silent and a little sulky. She didn't understand what the problem was. If she was going to stay here, Gwen needed to bring her up to speed fast.
