Notes: Yvonne has grown quite fond of her young recruit. A double drabble.

Yvonne studied the young man who came in and dropped off the reports she'd requested him to compile. He was efficient and didn't ask questions - well, not the wrong sort in any case.

'Do you enjoy working here, Mr Jones?'

The young man paused and gave her an inscrutable expression. 'I've not really got anything else to compare it to,' he replied, displaying that diplomatic air she'd come to admire.

'It never hurts to explore your options,' she said. 'I have a number of vacancies within other departments you should consider. A young man of your intelligence could be an asset. Not to mention those positions come with a substantial pay rise.'

If the offer of more money piqued his interest he didn't show it. He had a poker face unlike any other. No wonder that poor girl Lisa had no idea he'd fancied her. Not until she'd intervened, of course. Now they were quite the happy couple.

'If I moved departments, wouldn't that mean I wouldn't be working directly with you anymore?' he asked.

Yvonne smiled and hummed at how easy it was to wrap him around her little finger. 'Oh, I'm sure we could come to some arrangement.'
