Summary: Ianto isn't taking any chances with this week's weather forecast.

'Woah,' Jack exclaimed as he snuck in through the side door of the tourist information office, hoping to find his lover who had been missing now for several hours. The tourist office didn't even look like the tourist office anymore. The main desk was still there, with its pamphlets all neatly lined up in rows and in quaint little perspex holders, but the rest of it resembled a World War Two bunker.

'Are we expecting to be invaded?' Jack joked, watching as Ianto hefted a heavy looking sand bag, setting it on top of a fresh row of similar items that lined the entire front of the office, but particularly around the door.

Ianto gave him a withering look. 'Sometimes I don't know if you're being serious or funny. Help me with these, would you?' he asked, indicating a pile of sandbags in a crate that he was using to sure up the door.

Jack complied without complaint, grabbing one by the corners and setting it next to the last one, creating a wall that was nearly three feet tall. 'Where did all of these come from, anyway?'

'The archives. Where else?'

'Don't you think this is a little bit of overkill? I mean, I know they forecast a bit of wild weather, but...'

'Jack, we're right next to the side of the bay, practically sea level. Don't you remember the last big storm we had? This place was totally flooded. We had water sneaking under the door and into the passage down to the lift. I even found some rainwater working its way down the emergency stairwell. I'm not taking any chances this time. I don't want to be spending days mopping up, not to mention the water damage to the floors and the furniture. Once we're done   here, maybe you can help me make sure the lift entrance is properly sealed. If it starts coming in there were going to have a flooded rift pool and that means a potentially flooded rift machine.'

'Well, we can't have that,' Jack said. 'That thing is damn twitchy at the best of times.'

'Precisely,' Ianto agreed.

Once they'd finished unloading the crate, Jack felt certain that nothing was going to be able to get through the barricade they'd set up. It was only at that point a second thought dawned on him. 'Hang on, if we're sealing up the tourist office and the invisible lift, then how do we get out of the hub?'

Ianto rolled his eyes. 'There's six other exits,' he reminded Jack.

'Well, yeah, but they're not nearly as convenient.'

'Are you implying that I'm locking you in?' Ianto smirked at him in a way that was decidedly naughty. 'I can't imagine you having a problem with us being cooped up in the hub, having to wait out the worst storm of the year.'

'The worst, you say?'

'We could be here for hours. Days even.'

Jack smirked back. 'Whatever will we do to fill in the time?'

That's Ianto, taking all possible precautions! I bet he's stocked up with lube, food, and coffee beans too, so he and Jack will be cosy and have all the essentials available.
