Summary: Tosh wishes she'd just kept her big mouth shut. A double drabble.

Tosh could barely look Owen in the eye. She felt like she should blame Jack for that but the truth was she had only herself to blame. How could she be made at him for bringing Owen back to life? If only she hadn't been so brutally honest when Jack had asked them all to say their last goodbyes.

'Are you going to just keep pretending like I'm dead?' Owen asked, startling her as she turned to find him standing right behind her.

'I'm not.'

'Sure you're not.'

Tosh chewed her bottom lip. 'It's fine, really.'

'Except it's not,' Owen countered. 'Because you love me.'

Tosh snorted out a little sound. 'I didn't mean it like "I love you" I love you,' she replied. 'I just meant that, you know, that I love you like family.' She hoped that didn't sound as desperately made up as it did in her head. What was she supposed to say?

Owen shuffled from one foot to the other. 'Er, right. Okay. Just so long as I know where we stand.'

'Absolutely,' Tosh said, nodding emphatically. 'No need to feel obligated to let me down gently. We're just friends.'

'Good. Glad that's sorted, then.'
