Notes: Jack has a proposition to save Ianto a lot of paperwork. A double drabble.

'That guy in Cathays with the hitchhiker has kicked the bucket,' Ianto reported, studying the computer screen in front of him as he checked the overnight feeds.

'Finally!' Jack replied back, tugging his braces into place. 'Guess we'd better make sure nobody does an autopsy on him.' He chuckled. 'Hell of a thing to have to explain when they find a giant alien parasite inside his guts. Make sure we requisition the body before they get around to it.'

Ianto turned around in his chair. 'Do you have any idea how much red tape the NHS make us do to these days take custody of a body from their hospitals?' He sighed. 'That's my whole morning gone. I hope you didn't have anything else planned.'

'Or,' Jack said, sidling up to him, 'we could do it another way,' he suggested.

'I do like the sound of there being an "or". What is it?'

'We go in there and just grab the hitchhiker. Leave them to deal with the body.'

Ianto grinned. 'I do like getting out of the  hub.'

'I might even let you use the laser saw.'

'Even better. You get the laser saw, I'll go get the Tupperware.'

That scene had so much potential and then RTD spoiled it with the 'couple' argument. =(

I love this though, much more in keeping with the characters!
