Notes: Kathy wishes Torchwood would stop taking over her crime scenes. A double drabble.

Kathy heaved a sigh as she saw the black SUV from the corner of her eye. Within two seconds the team had disembarked and were straight under the police tape that was cordoning off her crime scene.

She marched purposefully forward, gathering a head of steam before calling out. 'Harkness!'

Jack twirled and managed a smile for her. 'Detective. How lovely to see you.'

'Seriously,' Kathy began. 'Is there ever going to be a time where police tape stops you?'

'I doubt it,' he replied.

'Well, just so you know, this is my crime scene. Breaking and entering. Your weird alien thing is the house next door.' She thumbed in the direction of the quiet terrace to the left.

'How'd you know that?'

'My officers have already checked the surrounds for our perp. They found the blob thing lying in the middle of the back yard and were told to leave it alone until special ops got here.'

Jack stuck his fingers in his mouth and whistled loudly. 'Guys! House next door,' he added, pointing. 'Thanks, Detective.'

'Any time,' she replied drolly. 'But next time you interfere with my crime scene though, I'm arresting your arse.'

'Promises, promises,' Jack replied.
