Notes: Gwen is determined to start making up for her mistakes. A double drabble.

Gwen couldn't think of a worst first day on a job than the one she was having right now. She'd fallen behind and nearly gotten herself in trouble for being in a restricted military cordon, cracked an alien meteorite by tossing a chisel at one of her new teammates, missing him by a solid foot and a half, released an alien gas into the city which had taken host in a young girl, snogged an alien against standard prisoner protocol and now it was loose in the city, shagging people to death. How many more mistakes could she make?

As she palmed the small alien device into her pocket - the one Owen had earlier used as a portable cell, and which had since been abandoned on his desk - she knew she was breaking Jack's rules about taking alien technology out of the hub.

At the same time however, she knew that she was responsible for their current situation, and that the alien wouldn't survive long without a host. A plan was already forming in her head. It was mental and not at all something her police training had covered, but with a little bit of luck, it might just work

It's a shame Gwen never actually learned from any of her many mistakes. She was the worst written character on the show.
