Summary: The snow outside is falling... rather hard.
'Do you think it's safe out there yet?' Ianto asked, glancing across at this lover in the driver's seat. He couldn't see out through the windscreen of the parked car anymore. So much snow had accumulated on the windscreen that even the wipers couldn't budge it anymore. All they had was a view full of white as it clung to the outside of the car.
'What makes you think that?' Jack asked.
'Just that the car hasn't rocked for a good few minutes now.'
The freak blizzard had caught them by surprise. The weather forecast had predicted below freezing temperatures and the risk of black ice on the roads, but it hadn't mentioned anything about snow. Jack had of course tried to keep driving, but even he had to eventually concede defeat and pull over so that they were no longer on the road, unable to see. It would also prevent them from getting hit by anyone else stupid enough to think they could drive in these conditions. The SUV might be a sturdy vehicle, but it wouldn't fare well if someone slammed into the back of it at forty miles an hour.
Jack grabbed the handle to release the door and pushed it out just a few inches before a flurry of ice came whipping inside, dropping the temperature inside the car by a few degrees in just seconds. He quickly pulled it back shut and cranked up the heating as high as it would go.
'Nope,' Jack replied, as if Ianto needed the answer confirmed.
'What do we do now?'
Jack grinned at him. 'I could think of a few things.'
'Not sure that's appropriate out in public,' Ianto replied, knowing precisely what Jack was implying.
'The windows are covered in three inches of ice. Who's gonna see?'
