Summary: Movie night is never without some healthy debate about what to watch.

'Elf, The Santa Claus, or Miracle on 34th Street?' Jack asked. 'Oh, and we've got Home Alone.'

'One, two or three?' Gwen asked. 'One's my favourite. I still cringe every time those burglars step on the glass Christmas ornaments.'

'And don't forget the tarantula,' Tosh added.

Jack shuddered. 'How could I forget? That takes number one out of contention. I am not up for a night of creepy crawlies.'

Gwen smirked, curling her legs up under her on the sofa. 'Not even with your very brave boyfriend to cuddle you?'

'Actually I quite like Home Alone Two,' Ianto said, grinning and coming to Jack's defense before he was made to admit that he'd squealed like a girl the last time they'd watched the first one, having forgotten all about the close encounters of the eight-legged kind. 'There's something very Christmassy about all those lights and snow in New York, and that lovely homeless lady?'

'Oh, I remember that now! That was lovely.'

'What about the Santa Claus with that sleigh that dispenses hot chocolate?' Jack said. 'We should get something like that for the SUV, only it could dispense Ianto's coffee.'

'Oh, I knew I forgot something!' Ianto cried. 'I've got some hot chocolate in the cupboard. I'll go warm up the milk and see if we've still got any marshmallows left. Can't have a Christmas movie night without hot chocolate.'

'I never doubted you'd forget,' Jack said. 'Double marshmallows in mine if you find them.'

'Always,' Ianto said, disappearing into the kitchen.

'Still haven't got a decision yet,' Jack said, scanning his teammates for suggestions.

'Die Hard,' Owen suggested

Ianto poked his head back into the living room, having just heard Owen's response before he was out of earshot. He frowned at Owen. 'That is about as on the cusp of "not a Christmas film" as is practically possible.'

'It's set on Christmas Eve! How much more Christmassy can you get?'

'I love a bit of Die Hard, me,' Rhys piped up. 'Proper action movie.'

'That would be why it doesn't count as a Christmas movie,' Gwen replied, putting an end to her husband's argument.

'If we're going to say Die Hard is a Christmas movie, then Gremlins would be too,' Tosh said.

'We haven't even begun to discuss the relative merits of Will Ferrell,' Jack began.

Owen groaned. 'Do we get any options that aren't cheesy Christmas flicks?'

'Don't be a Grinch, Owen,' Tosh said, tucking her sock-covered feet under his legs and pulling up the blanket. 'It's movie night and Christmas is only a few days away. If you can't watch them at this time of year, when can you? We didn't even talk about The Grinch, come to think of it.'

'I'm sure we've got it here, somewhere,' Jack said. 'Ianto?' he called out. 'Do we have The Grinch?'

'Owen's already here, isn't he?' he called back.

'Har, bloody har,' Owen muttered. 'You're getting a tin of instant decaf from me this year!'

'The Grinch has got nothing on you, Owen,' Gwen teased.

'Do you really hate Christmas that much?' Tosh asked

'I don't hate Christmas,' Owen argued. 'I'm just more of a Nightmare Before Christmas guy,' he said, not wanting to get into an argument with Tosh when she was snuggled so close to him. If he had to put up with some sappy Christmas film to get her this close, he would, even if he didn't like it.

'Oh, here we go,' Jack said, scrolling through the titles on screen. 'National Lampoons Christmas.'

'Now you're talking,' Owen replied, plumping up the cushion setting it behind him.

It was Tosh's turn to frown at Jack. 'Does that count as a Christmas movie? Okay, admittedly, it's a lot closer to Christmas than Die Hard, but it doesn't have the same warm, snuggly Christmas feeling to it.'

'Please,' Owen said. 'Forget your mushy happy endings. What we all need is a good laugh. The meltdown he has when he finally opens his Christmas bonus from his boss is priceless. Who even knew there was such a thing as a "jelly of the month" club?'

'I hope that's not how you reacted to my Christmas bonus,' Jack said. 'Ianto twisted my arm and made me double it this year.'

'For all the pain and suffering you put us through,' he said, returning with the first two mugs of steaming hot chocolate, complete with fat marshmallows bobbing on top.

'Nah,' Owen said, grinning, 'but I'd keep a careful eye on your tree, Harkness. There might be a rabid squirrel in there just waiting for you.'

So many Christmas movies to choose from!

I don;t think I've seen a single one this year... Is there room on the sofa for me?

I'm sure we could both find room to squeeze between Jack and Ianto, lol!
