Summary: Ianto is getting worked up about how long Jack is taking to repair a broken ship. A double drabble.
'Seriously, Ianto?' Gwen said. 'You're getting twitchy because you think he might be getting off with a space octopus?'
'Kerranian. They're called Kerranian.'
'Space octopus! It's huge.'
'So's his-'
'Hush!' Gwen scolded. 'Don't go there.' She flipped another page in her book and made a point of not making further eye contact.
Ego. He'd been going to say ego. Not that Jack didn't have a huge... well, enough that a giant octopus might be still be able to make use of.
He sighed again and looked out over the calm waters. Get a grip, he told himself. Just look at the state you're in, worrying over Jack. Gwen was probably right. There was nothing going on that shouldn't be. Jack did so love to fix broken spaceships, and he almost always forgot the rest of them existed when he was. Just so long as he also forgot that there was an alien octopus down there that might find him attractive or want to thank him for helping out. Jack also loved tentacles. Almost as much as fixing ships.
He bit down on his tongue until it hurt. He really needed to take some of Gwen's advice. Just don't go there.
