Notes: Jack is looking for something very specific. A double drabble.

'There's no one here, Jack,' Ianto said, scanning the interior of the small church. 'Whoever it was, they're long gone.' His words did nothing to ease the frown on Jack's face. He'd seen a rift signature like this before and it didn't bode well. It was trouble with a capital T.

'Jack,' he called out again, watching Jack move between the pews of seating, up-ending hymn books and bibles. 'I don't think you're going to find it in those,' he said, wondering if Jack had lost his mind. They needed to move before the trail ran cold and their quarry disappeared into the local population forever.

'Jack!'

'Check those books,' came the terse command.

Ianto sighed and reached down to pick up a bible nestled behind the pew. He grabbed it by both covers and shook it the way he's seen Jack doing. When he did, a small metal card fell out, like a credit card. He bent down and picked it up. 'What's this? Bookmark?'

Jack suddenly grinned. 'Good work. Now we know who we're dealing with.'

Ianto frowned. 'I don't get it.'

'If you're on the run, you hide your ID somewhere no one will look for it.'
