Notes: Ianto won't be letting Jack pick movie night films from now on. A double drabble.

‘Oh, cheer up, Ianto,’ Jack said, nudging his lover as they exited the cinema, following the sea of other film goers discussing their opinions on the movie.

‘I’m fresh out of cheer,’ he moped, trying to shrug away from jacks attempts to wrap an arm around his middle. He swatted angrily at a piece of popcorn he found lodged inside his jacket, seeping its buttery saltiness into his shirt. ‘You could have warned me what kind of film it was.’

’I did.’

‘You said thriller, not horror.’

Jack shrugged. ‘Aren’t they kind of the same thing?’

‘No, they most certainly are not.’

Jack wrapped him tightly around the shoulders. ‘You’re just upset because it made you scream.’

‘And spilled the popcorn absolutely everywhere. That bucket cost seven quid and now it’s all over the floor and down the sides of the seats.’

‘The hallmark of any proper horror flick,’ Jack replied, grinning. ‘They’re supposed to scare the hell out of you.’

‘I get plenty of opportunities to be utterly terrified, thank you very much. More than I’d like if I’m honest.’

‘Well, you can always cling to me any time. I don’t mind.’

Ianto grunted. ‘I’ll take that on board.’
