Owen yanked the x-ray off the light box mounted on the wall and slapped it down on the metal gurney. 'I don't know how you do it, Harkness. Only you can invent new ways to completely contort the human body into new injurious ways.'

Jack stared down at his knee joint, currently facing the complete opposite direction to what it should be. Remarkably however he was in almost no pain. Chalk up one for Owen's magical painkillers. 'You know, I dated a contortionist back in the thirties. Man, but you should have seen the things she could do. There was this one time she locked us box in a box and-'

'Stop talking! I do not need to hear how you fucked yourself out of a locked box.'

'No need to get your nose out of joint over it, Owen.'

'Oh, har har. You think you're a comedian now, do you? Save the double entendres for Teaboy. He does them better than you. Right, now how's that pain level?'

Jack grinned. 'Perfectly non-existent.'

'Good,' Owen replied, flexing both his gloved hands. 'Cause I'm about to rearrange your knee back in the right direction and it's gonna hurt like a son-of-a-bitch.'
